The White Rock Dog Park is located on North end of White Rock Lake on Mockingbird. It is broken down into 3 sections: small dogs (under 30 lbs), large dogs (over 30 lbs) and a water section for you pup to get out and swim. From what we can tell there is an unwritten rule that large dogs are do not go into the small dog section but anyone is allowed into the large dog section. The water section is open to all types of dog who want to take a plunge into the lake.
There are a couple of tables & some chairs around the park that are available on a first come first serve basis but be cautioned that once you sit down you are subject to uber friendly dogs coming up and saying "hi." Most of the dogs are well behaved and once you start going you will start seeing regulars and you dog and you will develop some pretty good friendship.
Cautions: after a rain the middle of the park turns into a mud puddle. There is no enforcement out there so not all dogs are vaccinated or altered so it is best to make sure that you are up to date on heart & worm medicine so your buddy does not bring anything home with them.
Positives: Large area, fresh drinking water, wide variety of dogs.
